I grew up in Wesley Chapel, FL on the Wiregrass Ranch surrounded by the majestic and rural Florida landscape. I spent ten years in North Carolina completing my undergraduate and graduate work then worked as a high school counselor before moving back to Florida, which I will always call home. I have had the opportunity to travel, both in the states and abroad. These adventures have enabled me to capture a variety of people and places, which is reflected in the variety of my work.

For me, taking pictures is simply being aware of my surroundings and allowing myself to quietly observe the beauty around me. When I shoot, I am able to catch a small piece of the world and freeze it in time. Photos can turn the ordinary around us into something extraordinary, magnifying the simple so we can see the beauty in the everyday.
